As you can see by the tagline, the website is not about me as a person; rather about some of the more memorable experiences I’m willing to share. The menu defines the content, so if you want to know who I am, the name’s James; and the rest is self-explanatory.
Please don’t be put off by the title, this website is not dedicated to books. For instance:

- Little Gems is not only the title of my book of short stories, it contains linkages to some of the most fascinating places I’ve had the privilege to visit over the years.
- Unfairities is synonymous with “Ain’t life a bitch!” And, although you are probably not of my generation and never imagined that life could exist without a mobile ‘phone and the internet, this is my slant on life.
- Nostalgia might provide a little insight into the mind-blowing changes that have occurred even within my lifetime.
- Books is there to provide inside information about my formative reading choices and also how that has influenced the stuff that I write. So please do ask questions – what they’re about; why I chose to write them; hopefully, because you’ve already read them, you might want added detail – eg why 3 characters get bumped off in one chapter!
